You want to start eating better, but you don’t quite know what to do. Keto, paleo, Whole30, Atkins, low carb, slow carb, Mediterranean– the list of options goes on and on!
I’m going to show you a simple strategy to start eating better with your next trip to the grocery store. It doesn’t have a ton of rules. It doesn’t require you to read a bunch of labels. And it doesn’t require you to count your calories or track your macros.
The next time you go to the grocery, I want you to stick to the outsides of the store. You know, the parts that have fresh and frozen foods. These are where the whole foods live– fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, eggs, seeds, and nuts.
Eat those things in any combination. Try to mix up lots of different colors throughout the meals you eat in a day. If it comes in a box or bag, skip it (unless it’s dried fruit, nuts, or seeds!).
Worried about fresh produce going bad before you can eat it? Frozen fruits and vegetables are just as healthy and can last for a long time.
